The Fly Inn, located at 626 10th St in Plainwell, MI, is a charming American restaurant that captures the essence of comfort and familiarity. Renowned for its breakfast offerings, customers rave about the delicious omlets, particularly the "Kitchen Sink," which bursts with fresh vegetables and flavor. Eric Kelley emphasizes the consistent quality of food and friendly service, making The Fly Inn a beloved spot for breakfast enthusiasts.
The atmosphere enhances the dining experience, with playful elements like kids flying paper planes on a patio while watching planes take off, as noted by jackie bobb. The omlets! We have eaten here several times over the last couple years and the food is always good, but recently I've started eating their omlets and they're amazing!! I highly recommend "The Kitchen Sink". So many fresh vegetables in there. The service is always great and the kitchen set up that you can watch the cooks in action while you are waiting is fun. The Fly Inn is an overall great place for breakfast. *Update* Couple years later and it's still the same. Love this place for breakfast.!

What a delightful little place! We took our grandkids for lunch. The food was very good and the staff so very friendly. We sat on the small patio so they could fly their “paper planes” the restaurant gave them and watch a couple of planes take off. We will be back.

My favorite breakfast spot. Best corn beef hash around. Only improvement would be a counter with stools.

What a wonderful diner by the airstrip. Fun atmosphere with pictures of airplanes and owners lining the walls. Country fried steak was done perfectly, and the thin-sliced home fries were delicious. Pro tip, add the onion! Coffee was in-par with most diners, but I tend to like more bold roasts. One last thing: They have homemade corned beef hash!

The food was great! There were some unusual combinations to consider for breakfast. The service was also great even though the waitress said it was her first day. The restaurant is small so we did have to wait a few minutes for a table. There did appear to be an outside dining area. We would definitely return.

This is such a cool place. Not too far off the highway. Right next to the Plainwell airport. The staff are so friendly and kind and good with kids. The food is so delicious and great portions. We will definitely be back!

This is our fav. Breakfast spot! Growing up around airplanes it’s so heart warming to sit in the cafe on a Saturday morning and watch planes land. We met a grandpa who had flown up north to pick up his grandson for the weekend and brought him here in his plane for breakfast. Sometimes is busy and the regulars who are seated at a 4 top with only two people will over the other 2 seats to strangers and all eat together! This is what small town USA is meant to be. Oh yeah and the food is AMAZING! Cinnamon roll French toast!!! Yum!

Love this little place for breakfast! Egg scramble is phenomenal and they butter your toast from edge to edge, not just a tiny dab in the center! Excellent food and service. Never had a bad experience at the Fly Inn. Definitely a must try if you haven't been.
